What a waste of tax payer dollars. Chris Prevatt, one of the bloggers over at The Liberal OC, was under a recent investigation for supposedly blogging at work. Work is the County Health Care Agency, which is a government office.
So after nearly a month of investigations, the violation of R2-D2 (his office computer), and numerous menial labor tasks which didn't involve a computer, the county finally released the result of their investigation. Drum Roll, Please....
Personal E-mails on company Time
What the @#!@! All of the time spent by the County CEO and his staff to investigate Chris and the worst offense they could come up with is personal e-mails. That's like writing up the intern for using too many staples. Chris was vindicated, the report found that he did not blog from work, but seeing that they had to find something, they reached out and pinned him with the personal e-mails. By doing so they might want to investigate the Board of Supervisors and other county employees for doing the same thing, what about personal phone calls on company time, or other infractions which occur daily in workplaces across America.
With newly sworn-in Supervisor Moorlach on the Board of Supervisors, maybe he can go after the County CEO who wasted my tax dollars during the course of this investigation. Moorlach seems to be on the kick of cutting County waste and corruption, when he is not buying a new vanity plate for his cars, so why not go after those who wasted our funds on this witch-hunt of an investigation.
