Don't we have more important things to worry about? We have a war in Iraq, a War in Afghanistan, a possible War in the Middle East, North Korea, problems at home, and congress decides to dictate what cases the federal judiciary can hear, give me a break (Sorry to quote John Stossel).
"We should not and cannot rewrite history to ignore our spiritual heritage" according to Congressman Zach Wamp (R-Tenn), but Congressman you are seriously mistaken. "God" was not in the pledge to begin with, it wasn't added until 1952. So you can add god to something, but if you take it away, according to Congressman Wamp, you are "..ignoring our spiritual heritage." Just another oxymoron.
But I'm not surprised ever since the Schivo case and the Conservative assault on the judicial branch congress will stop at nothing to appease their Conservative base. Congress is trying to carve out niches for Conservative causes, they carved out exceptions for the Boy Scouts, now the Pledge, and even the Mt Soladad Cross in San Diego, if your loosing a congressional race just send out a Conservative-Christian "bat signal" and congress will make an exception for you.
